Winter's here, and while the weather outside should be frightful (curse you global warming), there's nothing more delightful than curling up with a good book and ignoring that we are destroying our planet. What better way to do that than by joining the 2025 GRRL Winter Reading Challenge: The Great Escape?
This year, the Great River Regional Library is challenging teens and adults to escape the everyday and dive into literary adventures. As a seasoned bookworm I was looking to reignite my reading habit and this challenge is the perfect opportunity for me to explore new worlds, meet fascinating characters, and get lost in captivating stories. The challenge starts January 2nd and goes until February 28th.
Here's why you should join the challenge with me:
Explore New Worlds: Books have the power to transport us to different times, places, and realities. Need a break from the winter blues? Pick up a fantasy novel and journey to a magical realm, or delve into a historical fiction and experience life in another era.
