Buried Shadows

Beneath the surface, deep within,
Lie buried shadows, etched in sin.
Though hidden from the world's bright gaze,
They stir and writhe in restless haze.

Past traumas, wounds that never mend,
Their echoes in the heart transcend.
Lingering fears, anxieties' cold embrace,
Haunt every step, in every space.

The dead may sleep, but memories persist,
Whispering doubts, a haunting mist.
In nightmares' grip, the soul entwined,
Gripping your heart, losing your mind.

The fight for peace, a battle undefined,
Against the shadows, forever intertwined.
Though buried deep, they threaten to rise,
From depths unknown, with vacant eyes.
